Farfalle
in Italian means “butterflies” which is the perfect name to describe
this elegant shape. In the U.S. it is commonly referred to as “bow-tie”
pasta.
Farfalle’s
fanciful shape allows it to star in a variety of recipes including
light tomato-based sauces and pasta salads with vegetables.
Ingredients
Semolina (Wheat), Durum Wheat Flour.
Directions
1.Bring 4 – 6 quarts of water to a rolling boil, add salt to taste.
2. Add contents of package to boiling water. Stir gently.
3.
Return to a boil. For authentic “al dente” pasta, boil uncovered,
stirring occasionally for 11 minutes. For more tender pasta, boil an
additional 1 minute.
4. Remove from heat. Drain well.
5. Serve immediately with your favorite Barilla sauce.
